About The Position

The Department of Economics within the Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Microeconomics (ECO-1504, Section E00) during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course covers the nature and scope of economics, scarcity and choice, market mechanisms, supply and demand, elasticity, consumer behavior, firm behavior, production functions, cost curves, pricing, perfect competition, monopoly, price discrimination, government regulation, factor prices, and comparative advantage. Case studies and applications will be included. The course is scheduled for Wednesdays from 19:00 to 22:00. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics.
  • Demonstrate recent professional experience as an economist in the area of the course in the public, para-public or private sectors.
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
