About The Position
The Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Economics at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ECO-1502 E00, Introduction to Macroeconomics, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course covers macroeconomics in relation to microeconomics, national accounts, components of aggregate demand, determination of national income and the multiplier theory, business cycles and instability, fiscal policy, money and monetary policy, the banking system, unemployment and inflation, controversies on stabilization policy, and Canadian macroeconomic policy. The expected enrollment is 244 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The instruction language is French.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Economics.
- Demonstrate recent professional experience as an economist in the area of the course in the public, para-public or private sectors.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
