About The Position
The School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Fondements de la psychologie cognitive (PSY5505 Section A00) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course involves a critical analysis of research trends in cognitive psychology, covering topics such as cognitive architectures, sensory signal interpretation, attention, memory, language, mental computation, reasoning, and problem-solving. The course is proposed to be delivered in-person.
Requirements
- Doctorate in psychology
- Extensive knowledge of cognitive psychology theory and research
- A record of peer-reviewed publications in cognitive psychology
- Competency incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training

Responsibilities
- Teach Fondements de la psychologie cognitive (PSY5505 Section A00).
- Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange a suitable replacement instructor in advance of an upcoming absence.
- Incorporate equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training.
