This course, Geography of Polar Regions (GEG3107-A00), will be offered during the 2027 Winter Semester in the Faculty of Arts, Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics. The course will focus on the cryosphere's role in polar environments and the impacts of climate change on communities and ecosystems, with a focus on the Canadian North, Antarctica, and the Tibetan Plateau. Students will learn to critically analyze data and knowledge systems to describe the regional geography of Earth’s polar regions. The course is scheduled for Fridays from 14:30 to 17:30 and will be delivered in person. The expected enrollment is 90 students, and the course is 3 credits.
