About The Position

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CLA2102-A00, a general history of Greece from the Battle of Marathon (490 B.C.) to the Battle of Mantinea and the General Peace (362 B.C.). This course is offered in English and is a lecture-based course with an expected enrollment of 170 students. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The hiring process will be governed by the current APTPUO collective agreements. Requirements

  • M.A. in Classical Studies or equivalent
  • Expertise in course topic required
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

  • Teach CLA2102-A00: ATHENS, PERSIA, AND SPARTA
  • Deliver lectures
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law
