About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position in Political Communication (CMN/POL3133-A00) for the Fall 2026 semester within the Department of Communication at the Faculty of Arts. The course will study the relationship between media and politics in Canada and elsewhere, focusing on changing models of information access, information as power, the conflict between media and government, and mediated realities. The course is taught in English and is scheduled for Mondays from 13:00 to 14:30 and Wednesdays from 11:30 to 13:00. The expected enrollment is 120 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025 rates, subject to collective agreement ratification).
Requirements
- PH.D. or M.A. in communication (preferably).
- Professional experience or expertise directly linked to the course content.
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- Competence in a second language is not applicable for this position.
- Must be a regular part-time professor.

- M.A. in communication is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach the Political Communication course (CMN/POL3133-A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
