About The Position

The Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Nutrition Sciences at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach NUT3130 A - Micronutrients and Phytochemicals during the Fall 2026 semester. This course covers the physicochemical properties of micronutrients (vitamins, minerals) and phytonutrients, their occurrence, nature, role in formulation, processing, and nutrition. It also emphasizes the importance of these nutrients and bioactives for maintaining good health and the risk of chronic diseases. The course component is a lecture, and the instruction mode is hybrid, combining campus sessions at Lees with online components. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Food Sciences or its equivalent.
  • Experience in the field of the course.
  • Ability to clearly explain in their résumé how their academic background connects to Food Sciences if the degree is in an equivalent field.
  • Competence in second language (Passive).

  • University teaching experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in French is a passive requirement.

Responsibilities
