About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course DTI6302 (Prompt Engineering) during the Winter 2027 academic period. Requirements

Possess or be in the process of completing a PhD in Digital Transformation and Innovation, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Demonstrate expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and applied generative AI systems.
Experience designing, evaluating, and optimizing prompts for real-world applications.
Required areas of expertise include advanced prompting techniques (e.g., few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought, ReAct), structured outputs, function and tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic AI workflows, and LLM evaluation methodologies.
Candidates should have experience with prompt versioning, regression testing, LLM-as-judge frameworks, AI safety and reliability, and performance evaluation using human-labeled and/or benchmark datasets.
Proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks is required.
Familiarity with platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Vertex AI, LangSmith, or similar technologies.

Nice To Haves

Evidence of teaching, teaching assistantship, curriculum development, or professional training related to AI, machine learning, or prompt engineering is considered an asset.

Responsibilities
