About The Position

The Patient Registration Representative assists patients through the registration process and introduces them to the facility in a manner designed to reduce anxiety. The representative works with other departments and serves as a liaison among patients, patients’ families, hospital management, and staff to help maintain and improve patient satisfaction, experience, and quality of services.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a health care and/or customer service related industry.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as scheduled.
• High school diploma, GED, or certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in patient interviewing.
• Ability to collect, post, and balance cash.
• Strong typing and clerical skills, including speed and accuracy.
• General knowledge of medical insurance and terminology.

Responsibilities
