Responsibilities

  • Provide crucial clerical support for professional caregivers by expertly managing all functions related to patient registration.
  • Handle registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections.
  • Responsible for accurate data input and record keeping, ensuring the integrity of patient information and financial transactions.
  • Meticulously adhere to all credit card handling processes due to potential access to sensitive third-party credit card information.
  • Create a patient/case record in the ADT registration system in accordance with established policy and procedures for inpatient services.
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic, guarantor and insurance information for new or established patients in accordance with departmental protocols and enter this information into the ADT system per departmental protocol.
  • Ensure all self-pay accounts are referred to the Medicaid Eligibility Unit to ascertain eligibility status in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Assist in other Patient Intake Department projects as needed and as directed by management.
