About The Position
Amherst Veterinary Hospital is a busy, progressive small animal clinic that has been serving the community for over 30 years. They are a full-service hospital with long-term staff who are Fear Free certified, dedicated, and friendly animal lovers. They strive to provide excellent quality of care for all of their patients by providing individual service. The Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
Requirements
- Must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE.
- Must be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
- Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Responsibilities
