About The Position

Evolution Veterinary Specialists (EVS) is hiring an experienced and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing Cardiology team. As a key member of our Cardiology team, you’ll help deliver thoughtful, skilled care to patients with heart and vascular conditions. Requirements

  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license
  • Active registration with DORA
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced specialty and emergency hospital environment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience as an RVT, ideally in specialty medicine
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (AS/BS/BA)
  • BLS and/or ALS CPR certification
  • Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Cardiology specialty strongly preferred (will be compensated more)

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for specialty patients within Cardiology
  • Assist with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient monitoring
  • Support advanced case management for medically complex and specialty patients
  • Place and maintain IV catheters and other supportive devices as indicated
  • Collect and process diagnostic samples accurately and efficiently
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Assist with sedation and anesthesia monitoring as appropriate to department needs
  • Support patient comfort, safety, and advocacy throughout treatment and hospitalization
  • Communicate clearly with doctors and team members to support high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Support client education and communication in partnership with the clinical team
  • Support a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
