About The Position

IndyVet Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician for a full-time role in its ER/Specialty setting in Indianapolis, Indiana. The hospital is AAHA- and Cat Friendly-certified and has served Indianapolis and surrounding communities for more than 25 years. The team provides compassionate care to pets and their families and collaborates when unexpected medical conditions arise. The facility includes MRI, CT, a blood banking program, an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, Ezyvet, and VetRadar.

The ideal candidate has completed an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program, has prior technician experience, and brings an established skillset. The role involves supporting staff through creative problem-solving, communicating professionally and courteously—including during conflict—and helping uphold patient-care standards and a collaborative team culture. The position offers opportunities to grow professionally and mentor other veterinary technicians.

The schedule consists of rotating 10- or 12-hour shifts. Some weekends and holidays, as well as an on-call rotation, are required. Compensation is $23.00 to $25.00, depending on experience and credentials.

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
• Completion of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Previous veterinary technician experience.
• An established skillset.
• Professional and courteous communication, including in conflict situations.
