About The Position

New Palestine Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team. This is a full-time position with a negotiable salary based on experience. The clinic is a three-doctor small animal practice that focuses on wellness and sick appointments, general soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics. They are AAHA-accredited and Fear Free Certified, with many team members also being Cat Friendly certified. The clinic emphasizes high-quality medicine, low-stress patient care, teamwork, and work-life balance. The RVT will be an active part of patient care, utilizing their technical skills daily in a supportive environment.

Requirements

Registered Veterinary Technician credentials
Strong venipuncture and IV catheter placement skills
Experience with laboratory testing and diagnostics
Proficiency in radiology and basic imaging techniques
Excellent patient handling skills with an emphasis on Fear Free or low-stress techniques
Strong time-management and organizational abilities
Reliability and the ability to contribute effectively in a busy clinical environment
A positive, supportive attitude toward teammates
A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and high-quality patient care
A desire to continue learning and advancing your skills

Responsibilities

Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and other diagnostics
Assist with radiology, diagnostics, and basic imaging
Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to help keep patients safe and comfortable
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized treatment and exam areas
Follow established infection-control protocols
Work collaboratively with veterinarians and fellow team members to keep patient care moving smoothly
