About The Position
Central Toronto Veterinary and Referral & Emergency Clinic (CTVRC/EC) is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their Emergency Care Service. CTVRC/EC is a premier specialty referral and emergency center known for its expertise in various veterinary fields.
Requirements
- Graduation from an OAVT-accredited college program.
- Passed or in the process of writing the VTNE.
- OAVT membership in good standing.
- Collaborative clinical approach and excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to patient care, customer service, respect, and accountability.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role.

Responsibilities
- Perform triage duties and document evaluations for animals with critical conditions, including shock, acute illness, trauma, and toxicity.
- Execute advanced procedures like thoracentesis, ultrasounds, central line placement, and epidurals.
- Provide nursing care to in-house and out-patients, including TPRs, catheterization, wound management, and rehabilitation therapy.
- Assist in full-scope surgery services from prep to post-op recovery.
