About The Position
IndyVet Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, overnight position with rotating 10 or 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays, and an on-call rotation. The role involves providing innovative and compassionate care to pets and their families in an ER/Specialty setting. The ideal candidate will have completed an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program, possess established technical skills, and demonstrate professional communication, including conflict resolution. This position is crucial for supporting staff, upholding patient care standards, and fostering teamwork.
Requirements
- Completed an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.
- Previous veterinary technician experience.
- Established skillset.
- Professional and courteous communication, including conflict navigation.
Responsibilities
- Provide innovative and compassionate care to pets and their families in an ER/Specialty setting.
- Support staff using creative problem-solving.
- Uphold the gold standard of patient care.
- Foster a culture of teamwork.
- Mentor other veterinary technicians.
