About The Position

TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods (TAC) is seeking a skilled and passionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to specialize in bovine health. This role is part of a trailblazing team committed to using state-of-the-art applications and data to reimagine food production. TAC aims to establish the most trusted food system worldwide, optimizing processes from field to plate. The RVT will join a team of bovine practitioners and nutritionists, working across multiple locations in Southern Alberta (Lethbridge/Taber/Brooks). This position offers the opportunity to transform bovine healthcare as the lead field services RVT, conducting on-farm health programs, leading herd health initiatives, building producer relationships, and shaping modern cattle health practices with increasing autonomy.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma from an accredited Animal Health Technology college program.
  • RVT licensure with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association.
  • Strong communication and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for bovine medicine.
  • Clean and valid full Class 5 Driver's License or other provincial equivalents.
  • A driver’s abstract will be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians in all aspects of bovine medicine, including feedlot, cow-calf, and dairy productions.
  • Work with clients on farms for data recording, processing, and various technical duties.
  • Perform in-clinic duties including reporting, prescription management, and reception.
  • Dispense medications, medical supplies, and veterinary products in the warehouse facility on a rotating schedule, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Provide Cow-Calf, Dairy, and Feedlot RVT services.
  • Lead field service initiatives.
  • Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic technology.
