About The Position
The Registered Respiratory Therapist works under minimal direction to implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services that assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The role also includes educating patients, students, staff, and physicians; providing technical support for equipment related to Respiratory Care; and assisting with general department functions. The Respiratory Care Department provides services to patients of all ages and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Services include diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education, using technology and evidence-based practices to manage respiratory conditions. The position is based at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital, a 280-bed acute care campus offering medical, surgical, emergency, obstetric, and critical care services.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Michigan Respiratory Therapist license upon hire.
- NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registry upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.
Responsibilities
