About The Position
Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The therapist participates in educating patients, students, staff, and physicians; provides technical support for equipment related to Respiratory Care; and assists with general department functions. The Respiratory Care Department serves patients of all ages and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. The department uses current technology and evidence-based practices to manage respiratory conditions. This casual/PRN position is based at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital, a 280-bed acute care campus in Grosse Pointe offering medical, surgical, emergency, obstetric, and critical care services. The position is part-time, with variable shifts, hours, days, and weekend frequency.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Michigan Respiratory Therapist License upon hire.
- NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registry upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.
Responsibilities
