About The Position

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The role also contributes to the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians; provides technical support for equipment used in Respiratory Care; and assists with general department functions.

The Respiratory Care Department provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages. Its team collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education, using current technology and evidence-based practices to address a wide range of respiratory conditions.

This casual/PRN position is based at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital, a 280-bed acute care campus offering medical, surgical, emergency, obstetric, and critical care services.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Therapist License from the State of Michigan, required upon hire.
• Respiratory Therapist Registry through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required upon hire.
