About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides care in a facility with a 70-bed Level 4 NICU and a total capacity of 152 beds. The role primarily serves patients with prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), chronic lung disease, and surgical needs. The position has a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend; additional shifts may be worked if desired. There is no on-call requirement. Scrub colors may vary, but maroon and spice colors are not permitted.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a Level III or IV NICU.
• Current NRP, BLS, and RRT certifications.
• A valid Washington state license, either in hand or with proof of application submitted at least 6 weeks prior.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with Oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, and NOx Box INO.
• Ability to perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis using GEM.
• Experience with Bubble CPAP and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
