Registered Respiratory Therapist position in a 36-bed Level 3 NICU caring for critically ill infants in Brandon, Florida. The unit is generally staffed with two respiratory therapists covering the unit during peak volumes, with two therapists assigned to both the day shift and night shift. Requirements

• Level 3 NICU experience; candidates with 3–5 years of Level 2 NICU experience may be considered.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
• Critical thinking ability and capability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• STABLE certification.
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and advanced ventilation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries.
• Manage ventilator support, including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation.
• Administer surfactant and nitric oxide.
• Acquire and interpret blood gas measurements.
• Provide care during critical neonatal emergencies.
