About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist will provide care and treatment for patients requiring respiratory support. The role involves working in various units, including adult general and critical care as well as the NICU. The therapist must demonstrate expertise in managing respiratory needs and be adaptable to different patient populations. This position encompasses all patient types throughout the hospital, focusing on adult critical care and NICU cases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in respiratory therapy.
- BLS certification.
- NRP certification (for NICU).
Nice To Haves
- ACLS/APLS preferred.
- Cerner or EPIC EMR experience.
- RRT preferred, CRT candidates with requisite experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapies and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct ground transports and administer Nitric Oxide for NICU patients.
- Utilize advanced technology and equipment, including various ventilators and EMR systems.
- Ensure all procedures comply with established protocols and standards of care.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
