About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a 123-bed Level 3 trauma center located in Spokane Valley, WA. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing respiratory care in a variety of settings, including critical care and emergency situations. This facility offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, with a focus on patient-centered care. The Respiratory Therapist will be an essential part of our healthcare team, caring primarily for adults and geriatric patients, with possible pediatric cases.
Requirements
- RRT, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
- Strong foundational skills in basic respiratory therapy techniques and critical care.
- Familiarity with all respiratory equipment and accessories.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in a nursery setting is advantageous but not mandatory if NRP certified.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients in critical care, emergency, and general settings.
- Utilize ventilators, BiPAP, and HFNC in patient treatment.
- Work collaboratively with nursing and medical staff using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
- Assist with nursery care as needed, including Bubble CPAP management.
