About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist works in the Respiratory unit at a fully accredited healthcare facility in Tallahassee, Florida. The role involves critical care and emergency care across inpatient units, including two Intensive Care Units. The therapist provides respiratory treatments and care for patients using ventilators and BiPAP, assists with procedures, and participates in interdisciplinary rounds. The department has a team of 30 colleagues with varied experience and emphasizes collaborative, high-quality patient care and use of the AIDET protocol.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Critical Care and Emergency Care.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Strong clinical skills in adult critical care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in NICU and pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosol treatments.
• Manage BiPAP and ventilator care.
• Conduct intubation and arterial line insertion.
• Assist with bedside bronchoscopy procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds to enhance patient care.
• Use respiratory technology and equipment to support high-quality care.
• Rotate throughout all inpatient units.
