About The Position
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides high-quality respiratory care and supports patients’ needs through technical expertise and interpersonal skills. The unit has 332 beds and 38 respiratory therapy staff. Day and night shifts each have one lead and five respiratory therapists. The patient ratio is 1:56. Equipment includes ventilators, BiPAPs, Vapotherm, and Vest devices, and the EMR system is Meditech. The role may involve floating to the ICU/CCU, Emergency Room, patient floors, and NICU. The dress code is grey scrubs.
Requirements
- NICU experience.
- Required certifications: NRP, PALS, BLS, and ALS.
Nice To Haves
- Critical Care experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with intubations and bronchoscopy procedures.
- Manage ventilator settings and provide respiratory therapy patient care.
