About The Position

Salem Hospital is a 371 licensed bed facility that has 220 Med/ Surg beds, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, a Level 2B Nursery, etc. This position is for the Respiratory Unit and involves working 36 hours per week on nights, including every other weekend. The role requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience in one location and 1-2 years of experience as a Traveler, specifically with vent experience in an acute care setting. The clinician to patient ratio is 5 Respiratory Therapists staffed during the Day shift, 5 on Eves, and 4 on Nights. Day shift therapists are assigned roles including Charge, ICU, and Med/Surg Floors.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy.
• 2 years of working experience in one location.
• 1 to 2 years working as a Traveler.
• Vent experience in an acute care setting.
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases.
• RRT certification.
• Active MA Respiratory Therapist License.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services.
• Operate PB980 Ventilator.
• Operate Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator.
• Draw arterial blood gases.
