About The Position
This position is for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a healthcare setting, focusing on delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients across various service lines. The hospital has 854 beds and 120 staff members. The unit has 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines and 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines during the day shift, and 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines and 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines during the night shift. Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients per therapist. Equipment used includes GE R860 Adult vents, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 Non-invasive device, and Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices. The electronic medical record system is Cerner.
Requirements
- Valid North Carolina Respiratory License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Nice To Haves
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Responsibilities
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments and medications
