About The Position

This position is for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the main RT department, located on floor A343. The hospital has 854 beds and the department has 120 staff members. The role involves providing respiratory care to patients across various service lines, including adult, NICU, and pediatrics. Therapists will utilize a range of equipment and the Cerner EMR system. The position requires flexibility in weekend coverage and adherence to a specific scrub color.

Requirements

• North Carolina Respiratory License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to adult, NICU, and pediatric patients.
• Operate and manage GE R860 Adult ventilators, Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 Non-invasive device, and Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices.
• Utilize the Cerner Electronic Medical Record System.
• Float to all Critical Care units and floors as needed.
• Work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
