About The Position
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for the Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry department in Stratford, ON. This is a job-share position. HPHA is a multi-site organization committed to proactive change, partnerships, performance, and valuing its people to advance the healthcare system. The role involves working on a 12-hour day/night schedule, 7 days a week, which may be subject to change.
Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent (current experience)
- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience)
Nice To Haves
- Ability to understand and interpret typical and atypical telemetry and cardiac monitoring
- Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Cardiac Care and Acute Stroke/Stroke Rehab Nursing
- Recent related courses, in-services in Cardiac Care Nursing and Acute Stroke/Stroke Rehab Nursing
