About The Position

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) is seeking two Regular Part-Time Registered Practical Nurses for their Inpatient Unit in Clinton, ON. HPHA is a multi-site organization committed to proactive change, partnerships, performance, and valuing its people. This role is part of an energetic, caring team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Requirements

  • Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a mixed inpatient caseload including acute care, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, paediatrics and palliative
  • Demonstrated ability to work on an interdisciplinary team including community partners
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing education
  • Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position

Responsibilities

  • IV drug administration
  • Insertion of Gastric tubes
  • Flushing of PRN adaptors
  • Subcutaneous portal insertion and drug administration
