About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Telemetry Stepdown unit. This role focuses on delivering specialized cardiac care to patients recovering from complex cardiovascular conditions and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, expertise in cardiac monitoring, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to professional nursing standards and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of Stepdown or Telemetry nursing experience
  • Strong experience with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation
  • Experience managing high-acuity cardiac patients
  • Excellent critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Active RN License (State or Compact)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
  • Strong ECG interpretation skills
  • Flexibility to float across cardiac specialty units
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
  • Compliance with organizational policies and standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD)
  • Background in post open-heart, cath lab, or vascular surgery care
  • ICU or critical care experience
  • Exposure to electrophysiology or cardiac specialty units

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care in a telemetry stepdown setting
  • Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and changes in patient condition
  • Administer and titrate cardiac and IV medications (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix)
  • Provide care for patients with acute cardiac conditions including MI, arrhythmias, heart failure, syncope, and cardiomyopathy
  • Manage post-operative cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology patients
  • Assist with procedures such as cardioversions and conscious sedation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate patient care
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Maintain patient safety and ensure compliance with healthcare protocols
  • Float to related cardiac specialty units as needed
