About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinically competent, quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN interacts effectively with patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members while maintaining professional nursing standards. The RN evaluates outcomes to determine the effectiveness of evidence-based interventions and uses resources efficiently to ensure quality patient care and services. The role operates within the scope and standards of nursing established by the American Nurses Association and the Virginia Nurse Practice Act. The role may include supervising LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) when assigned, and assessing team members’ clinical competency. Self-scheduling is available.
