About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides patient support and communication and facilitates an exceptional patient experience to build satisfaction, trust, and organizational loyalty. The role welcomes and prepares patients for appointments, shares relevant visit information, and communicates clearly about scheduled services. The position also performs medication administration, clinical procedures, laboratory testing, patient education, documentation, and maintenance of treatment rooms and equipment.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalency required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency room preferred.
• Spanish-speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate kindness and compassion in patient interactions.
• Prepare and administer oral, intramuscular, and intradermal medications as directed by the provider, following the Rights of Vaccine or Medication Administration.
• Perform point-of-care laboratory tests and EKGs as ordered or indicated, as well as suture and staple removal, dressing changes, and other patient care activities.
• Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Provide patients with instructions regarding medications and diet.
• Authorize prescription refills as directed.
• Prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations.
• Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens.
• Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment.
• Perform quality controls and equipment checks.
