About The Position

The Registered Nurse plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. Following established standards and protocols, the RN delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. As a member of the care team, the RN supports quality, patient- and family-centered care by performing a variety of high-level functions to meet the needs of the healthcare team and patients and families. The RN educates patients and the public about medical conditions, maintains complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation for each patient, and continually looks for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Requirements

RN license in the state of practice; some positions may require additional state RN licenses.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
Implement nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
Evaluate care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Deliver care as delegated by a physician or authorized practitioner to an assigned patient population or individual patient.
Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Continuously work to improve work processes, the environment, and the overall experience to serve customers and meet business goals.
Educate patients and the public about medical conditions.
Maintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation for each patient.
