About The Position

Waukesha Memorial Hospital is hiring a Clinical Nurse for its Operating Room. The nurse provides professional care to patients and families, integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical experience through a deliberate, systematic approach. Practice involves recognizing patterns in patient responses, demonstrating mastery of most technical skills, and focusing on patients and families. The nurse also supervises and directs delegated nursing acts in keeping with the supervised person's education and demonstrated abilities.

The Operating Room has 16 suites and performs up to 40 surgeries a day across cardiothoracic, neuro/orthopedics/dental, general/vascular/ENT, gynecology and urology, and plastic surgery specialties. The team performs da Vinci robotic procedures across multiple specialties and has a Hybrid OR and an integrated minimally invasive robotic room. The hospital averages 8,500 procedures annually and offers exposure to robotic and minimally invasive techniques.

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position on the PM shift, which ends at 9:30 PM. Shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours. The schedule includes one overnight on-call shift per week, on-call weekends once every 6–8 weeks, and 1–2 holiday on-call shifts per year.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Wisconsin Registered Nurse License.
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
