About The Position

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment. Care is guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and follows the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Requirements

• Successfully complete the Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of employment.
• Have basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
• For new hires after 2012, obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing within the timeframe specified in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• Hold a Florida Registered Nurse (FL RN) license.
• Hold Basic Life Support/CPR (BLS) certification.
• Undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in a nursing specialty area.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
