About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The role supervises staff to whom care is appropriately delegated and supports the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and effective resource management related to patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• For PRN status, at least 1 year of RN experience.
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by applicable law, regulation, or policy.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification if applicable under corporate policy for the unit of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective total nursing care to patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care according to the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administer medications safely and promptly in accordance with hospital policy.
• Perform HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies or disasters.
• Know the Hospital's emergency codes, including their purposes and appropriate responses, and follow applicable policies and procedures.
