Registered Nurse RN, Neuroscience
About The Position
Saint Francis Hospital’s Neuroscience Unit provides multidisciplinary care to patients with neurological conditions, including acute stroke, transient ischemic attacks, seizure disorders, and epilepsy. The Registered Nurse monitors, records, and responds to patients’ clinical status; assists with hyperacute and acute treatment; and supports and encourages rehabilitation. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week night position with 12-hour shifts. The unit includes a specialized four-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and is part of an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center. Saint Francis Hospital is a 617-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, and a member of Trinity Health Of New England and Trinity Health.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Connecticut.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- One or more years of RN experience for eligibility for unit-based specialty pay.
