About The Position

Utilizing the nursing process, the Registered Nurse provides high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. The nurse coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and communicates the patient’s clinical condition as appropriate, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The nurse promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. The role is based at 71 Haynes Street and involves flexible day shifts and start times, cross-campus floating, and call obligations on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
Maintain clinical competency required for the area of assignment, including at least Basic Life Support.
Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Possess basic computer skills.
