About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital–Oklahoma City is seeking PRN Registered Nurses for day shifts in a long-term acute care setting. Nurses provide direct and indirect patient care and communicate with physicians, CCO, and coworkers about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, diagnostic results, and symptoms. They are expected to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response and perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. The hospital treats complex medical needs, including respiratory failure requiring ventilation or other respiratory support, complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics, and chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment. Depending on patient complexity, care may involve sedation and pain management, pressor management, and cardiac or anti-arrhythmic management. ICU, step-down, or critical care experience is preferred. The hospital is located on the second floor of Mercy Hospital OKC in Oklahoma City.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Ability to communicate effectively and positively in English, verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

ICU, step-down, or critical care experience.
Acute care experience.
