About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated, empathetic Registered Nurses to provide in-home care to patients. This PRN role is engaged as a 1099 independent contractor and offers a flexible, independent work environment. Nurses provide holistic care, build meaningful relationships with patients, and support their health and well-being in their homes. The stated pay range is $65.00–$68.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
Willingness to travel to patients' homes.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to pass a state and federal background check.
Malpractice insurance is required.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Warm, empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Assist with activities of daily living as needed, with dignity and respect.
Coordinate schedules directly with patients in accordance with their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
Monitor and promptly report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
Communicate with case managers, collaborating physicians, and specialists to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate patient logs in the EMR system.
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
Prepare clear clinical notes and charting.
