About The Position

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in the CVICU through Ascension Premier Staffing at Ascension VC St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Night shifts are available, with schedules of 36–48 hours per week. The role implements and monitors patient care plans, observes and communicates patient condition, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and supports discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Certified Advanced Life Support credential obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Certified BLS Provider credential obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Registered Nurse certification obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
