About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care to patients throughout treatment and recovery. The position is per diem/as needed, with a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. The schedule is night shift. The hospital offers an extensive RN orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
