About The Position

Memorial Community Hospital & Health System is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join its Medical/Surgical team. The RN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse patient population in medical/surgical and skilled nursing settings. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting care, and collaborating with providers and other team members during routine care, examinations, and procedures while promoting patient independence and wellness.

This is a full-time position in the Medical/Surgical Unit, scheduled for three 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. The position offers a $10,000 hiring bonus; see the recruiter for details.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Nebraska or a compact state.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience as an RN or LPN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients across medical/surgical and skilled nursing settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and education.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document patient progress.
• Safely administer medications and treatments via various routes.
• Respond to routine and emergency patient needs.
• Participate in patient admissions, obtain informed consent, and complete timely documentation.
• Cross-train and float to other nursing departments as needed to support teamwork.
