PRN Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (RN)

About The Position
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to nursing assessment and development of the nursing care plan, and participates in evaluating nursing care in accordance with the established philosophy. The role is in Medical Surgical and is PRN. The nurse is accountable to the Studer philosophies and principles, including HCAPS, Patient Perception, Hourly Rounding with Intention, Bedside Shift Report, AIDET, and Daily Huddles.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Kentucky or a compact state.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to self-direct and work with little direct supervision.
- Empathy for patients’ needs.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- ACLS preferred.
- One year of nursing/surgery experience preferred.
Responsibilities
