About The Position

The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role monitors patients, administers medications, maintains records, consults with healthcare providers, and educates patients. This is a per diem position in Endoscopy at Chilton Medical Center, with a stated schedule of Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing. ASN graduates must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least one year of nursing experience, including endoscopy experience in EGD, Colonoscopy, EUS, and ERCP.
• ACLS and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
