About The Position
The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role monitors patients, administers medications, maintains records, consults with healthcare providers, and educates patients. This position is in the Radiology department at Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center and is per diem. Atlantic Health System’s radiology departments provide imaging services for a wide range of patient needs, emphasizing quality and safety. Registered radiology nurses support the radiology teams alongside skilled technologists and specialized radiologists.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing; ASN holders must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
- Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in nursing or a relevant area.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
