About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) coordinates and provides safe, quality patient care using critical thinking and the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role assesses patients’ needs, develops and implements written plans of care, evaluates responses to interventions, demonstrates leadership, and helps organize patient care activities. The position is full-time and has an evening shift. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
• Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days.
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days.
• NIH Stroke Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, and growth and development needs.
• Develop a written plan of care using assessment data.
• Implement the nursing care plan.
• Evaluate the patient’s response to interventions.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Assist in organizing patient care activities.
