About The Position

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care in its Telemetry Unit. The hospital is a 131-bed community hospital serving the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities. It is a member of Prime Healthcare and is accredited by The Joint Commission.

The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role includes providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, guiding patient and family teaching, and directing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is accountable for the care of assigned patients, communicates changes in clinical condition to physicians, and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

Requirements

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain certification.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Telemetry Unit.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
• Remain accountable for the care provided to assigned patients.
• Communicate changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
